Tuna Pesto Pasta with Chorizo Bilbao

I love pasta, I like the taste of chorizo and yesterday, I was craving for a canned tuna.  I gathered all the ingredients available at home and decided to cook a Tuna Pesto Pasta with a twist!  That is.. with King Sue Chorizo Bilbao.   The Chorizo Bilbao complemented the tuna pesto and added flavor to the dish.

Here's what you will need:

  •  500g spaghetti
  •  1 King Sue Chorizo Bilbao, chopped
  •  2 cans tuna flakes in oil
  •  1 onion, chopped
  •  2 tbs olive oil
  •  2 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
  •  1 tbs basil leaves, chopped
  •  2 medium size bell pepper, chopped
  •  spring onion
  •  Cheese
  •  salt and pepper
How to prepare:

Step 1. Cook pasta in boiling water with salt and pepper until al dente.  Drain.

Step 2.  In a large frying pan over medium heat, saute garlic and onion in olive oil. Add the chorizo Bilbao, bell pepper and basil leaves.

Step 3.  After about 2 minutes, add the tuna flakes with oil.  Season with salt and pepper.  Heat gently for another 2 minutes then toss the spring onion.

Step 4. Add the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly.

Step 5. Sprinkle with cheese.

Serve with garlic bread or crackers.  Enjoy! =)
